Cann Group have received the Office of Drug Control (ODC) green light to commence commercial cultivation at its new manufacturing facility near Mildura in North West Victoria.
The permit allows for cultivation and production of medicinal cannabis and research activities. A separate permit covering the manufacture of medicinal cannabis products at Mildura is expected to be issued in the near future.
Cann is now preparing to transfer medicinal cannabis plants from its Southern facility to Mildura to establish starting genetics, with the first commercial crop due to be harvested by June 2022.
This will ensure plenty supply for the Australian market and provide export overseas.
